We don't view the reference check process as an opportunity to call a few of the candidate's friends to confirm their greatness, nor do we view this as a business development opportunity for us.

We take the referencing process very seriously, investigating any ambiguities or concerns that were not fully resolved in the interview process.

We also look for information specific to the candidates that will help the client organization improve the on-boarding process.

Using specific client input and guidance, we develop unique questions to probe these areas:

  • Asking the same questions of all referencees results in a higher level of clarity and control.
  • Creating an "unattributed" format allows for greater freedom with the referencees' answers.
  • Because of our industry knowledge, we can engage known associates not provided by the candidate.
