"Gene had contacted me in mid-1997 to determine if I had an interest in interviewing as the VP-Human Capital at RadioShack in Fort Worth, TX. I was interested in the company and not only became the VP-Human Capital, but also RadioShack's SVP and CIO! It was a wonderful and exciting turnaround situation, in which RadioShack's shareholders value was dramatically increased. I spent almost 8 years at the company and am grateful that Gene Nees thought of me for that position. Gene sensed I would be a great fit for their culture."
